CO2 Power (2019 – 2021)

Development of cost-effective and efficient technologies to mitigate the increasing level of CO2 and the associated energy and environmental issues is a grand challenge of our time. The CO2Power project aims at developing novel, low-cost bipolar membranes (BPMs) with enhanced interfacial catalysis, high selectivity and stability for energy-efficient CO2 electrolyzers. The BPMs forming innovative membrane electrode assemblies will be fully characterized and tested in a single/multiple cell electrolyzers under industrially relevant conditions for scale-up.
