Stack Testing

Besides the investigation of single cells, our research is dedicated to improve the performance of the whole stack and to understand its degradation behavior.

Therefore our institute developed a method to electrical and electrochemical characterize an SOC stack during operation. One of the key challenges in associated with impedance measurements of large area objects, such as the experimental SOC stack, is that the absolute impedance for a cell in the experimental stack is in the range of a few mΩ which requires equipment with high precision and minimization of unwanted stray impedances.
